WORKOUTS I LOVED THIS MONTH
Still recouping from my injury. My physical activity has been really limited but little by little I am starting to add more things back into my life. I went to my first class this months - yippee!!! Here goes...

Amenities: Decent size changing rooms with a bathroom. Upstairs lockers are only for clients - there are cubbies in the classroom area. Water fountain also available. No towels (or at least none were offered).
Cost: $35/50min classes and $25/35min clases. Also offer packages and all access passes.
My friend and I purchased a 30 day unlimted special on Gilt at the beginning of this year. We fully intended to use it earlier but I hurt myself and she also had things come up. Because it was about to expire we both decided we should try and get our asses into a class. Nimble Fitness offers TRX classes - they may mix in other toys like ropes or Kettle Bells but TRX seems to be the main feature of all their classes (they also offer personal training). Being that it would be my first class I was a lil bit nervous but we chose one of their 35min Express classes. I figured that would be a good way to ease myself back into things (my friend hadn’t worked out in a while either so 35min was also perfect for her as well). I was so right and it was so good. We started with warm up - high knees (knee lifts for me) and jumping jacks (modified jacks for me) - because I was doing the modified version of things during the warm-up the teacher noticed and asked if I had an injury. The class consisted of 3 TRX circuits - 4 exercises, 30 secs each exercise, repeat 3 times, and then on to the next circuit. The teacher offered modifications both to challenge you more or to make less challenging. She walked around and made corrections when necessary. The transitions from exercise to exercise were also very seamless. I’ve taken TRX classes before and things can sometimes get out of control with the whole adjusting of the TRX but not in this class. The class went by super fast and the thing I love about TRX is there are ways to make things more challenging so this class was sheer perfection - I took it easy on the leg exercises and then pushed myself harder on the upper body and ab exercises. My friend and I went the Express class 3 days in a row - we are both definitely fans!!!
